Stacey has worked in classroom and outdoor education settings in Oregon since 2007. She first fell in love with Outdoor School while teaching soil science as a field instructor for the Multnomah ESD in the Portland area. Stacey earned her Master’s in Environmental Education from Southern Oregon University in 2013, then spent the next 9 years teaching 5th grade at Sauvie Island School in Portland. Her passion for environmental and place-based education led her to join Rogue Environmental Ed in 2022 as the Outdoor School Coordinator/Lead Instructor. Stacey enjoys exploring the beautiful and diverse landscapes of the Pacific Northwest by hiking, backpacking, and paddle boarding. She also travels whenever she can, visiting countries in Asia, Europe, and Central America over the past several years.

The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are multifaceted drawing on the components of Crosscutting Concepts, Disciplinary Core Ideas and Science and Engineering Practices. All of our curriculum is designed to align with the NGSS and fulfill all three components.

The Oregon Environmental Literacy Plan (OLEP) was developed after Oregon pass the No Child Left Inside Act of 2009. The work of Rogue Environmental Ed is to help accomplish the goals of the OELP. The OELP puts forth a vision in which all Oregon students are:
